Uh…yes. Why would you assume I would just take the phone number? I usually would just respond with my number and a note that I would send them a text. No judgment ( trying not to!), but what you are saying is had I waited between evening and the next morning to gleefully acknowledge a set of ten digits before using the same digits, I would be ghosted for my reprehensible thanklessness?

Getting to the stage of exchanging phone numbers and then using the phone number, only to be ghosted because of an apparent personal time-lapse or lack of thanks for a number after several messages wouldn’t seem to be an issue on my end. Which was the point of that part.
