The new comment system is a complete disaster and I don’t know anyone who truly wants to make their comment a story, even though Medium has been statistically counting all comments as stories for years. If you look at the people who are doing the beta profile “enhancements” those show more comments as stories and it looks ridiculous.

What I am talking about is the intentional tagging of comments to try to help get To Writer status. Why else would someone want a comment of theirs found when searching tags? Great comment, Sharon — thank you.
