Thank you for writing this. In an era of alleged wokeness, it’s shocking to me that this ingrained attitude exists. Actually, it’s not shocking. It’s sad. It’s sad that people think having good intentions is enough to cast aside racism in general conversation. And just because I was not brought up like this and never thought about race as a defining characteristic in my relationships, doesn’t make it better for you.
