A response to the poem was not required. I consider Greg a friend and a valued contributor to my publication. If you are saying that his poem was not timely and directly on-point, I do not understand that at all. But yes, you are 100 percent correct in saying I cannot relate. How could I? I wasn't trying to relate in any way, nor was my comment indicative of that behavior. It was a show of support for the poet and the powerful words.

I see you are an attorney. You may not know that I was also an attorney. I was a prosecutor for 7 years and a criminal defense attorney for 2. I have a publication about my views of the injustice of the system based on my participation in it 15 years ago. I can not relate, but I am far from ignorant on the subject matter.
